Göran Persson

Göran Persson, the founder of the choir and also its conductor, is a church musician and choir- and ensemble leader graduate at the Malmö Academy of Music with professor Dan-Olof Stenlund as teacher in choir directing. He has also taken part in master classes for Andrew Parrot, Thomas Schuback and Gunno Klingfors, and gotten inspired by collaberating with choir leader Gunnar Eriksson.

Since 1987, he has been active as an organist and choir leader in Snöstorp's church in Halmstad, where he leads the choirs Cappella Snöstorp and VIVA. In Snöstorp's church, he has performed countless grand church musical works by Bach, Händel, Mozart, Haydn, Fauré, Rutter, Jenkins and others and in 2011 he stood on the conductor's stand when Bach's Matteuspassion was performed for the first time in Halmstad as well as Bach's B minor mass in 2014. He has with his choir's performed countless musical tours in Europe and America, and also recorded five CD:s.
